Moderno Hotel - Barcelona

The location of Moderno is fantastic, just off La Rambla, made exploring the city easy. The room was clean and offered a good balcony overlooking the bustling street. The friendly staff were always available to assist with recommendations and questions.

Limited breakfast options.

The breakfast was great - a lot of dishes.

Had a good time, but the smell in the room was really bad.

The air conditioning didn't work and no one bothered to fix it, I expected more from a fancy hotel. The remote was missing and the TV had no cable, like really? I almost gave 5 stars, but service was so mediocre, it's hard to understand how they even stay in business.

Top location (Rambla), very friendly staff !!, good breakfast. Changing rooms due to noise pollution was uncomplicated.

3 beds + 1 sofa = very narrow! Located on the side street of the Rambla, therefore loud. We`ve exchanged rooms, then window with a "view" into a shaft (we were informed of this). Air conditioning resulted in a musty smell.

lovely little and chic hotel steps away from a metro station. extremely comfy bed in the queen room, plus a storage space and a kettle. spacious bathroom and great breakfast.

Perfect location. Right in the middle of the old town. Just a few steps to the metro station.

Not very soundproof. Everything else is perfect.

Wi-Fi was great. Loved the 24-hour reception, but the bathroom cleanliness could improve.

My kids and I appreciated being there, it's chic hotel. The staff were absolutely kind and accommodating and the location was incredible close to metro station. The lunch in Irati Taverna Basca near the property had every choice imaginable. The room was new-fashioned and tidy, had private bathroom.

The location is a huge plus, just a few minutes from La Rambla and close to a metro station. Every day I took advantage of the luggage storage service, easy to explore after check-out. I enjoyed the charming balcony that opened up to street views. The room cleanliness could use improvement. The bathroom had some leftover grime that wasn't addressed . The air conditioning felt inadequate, especially with the summer heat, and it emitted a strange smell. Breakfast had nice offerings but lacked variety. The options seemed to consist of mostly pastries and limited cold items. Noise from the surrounding area kept me awake at night, and I wish the walls offered better soundproofing. The friendly staff attempted to assist with my concerns, but the maintenance issues were disappointing.
